Freddie Head’s charge is the winner of his last two Group One outings including easing down ahead of a strong field that included the likes of Celebration Mile winner Raven’s Pass. That was followed by a scintillating performance at Deauville last time out again in front of another strong field. The major chink in his armour, though, is he has never raced outside his native France and often that is a huge handicap to overcome.

Henrythenavigtor seemed unbeatable until he got suck in the mud and finished fifth in the Prix Moulin. The four-time group one winner didn’t find the going to his liking on that day and could do with the ground on the fast side to return to winning ways here. At 7/4 he still represents value after claiming the St James’ Palace Stakes over course and distance earlier in the year.

Ravens Pass is next in the betting but you feel that he has far too much form to over turn here. He has been beaten comfortably by both the horses ahead of him in the market. That said the winner will most likely come from the top three in the betting.
